Position Overview We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Business Development Manager to join our team on a part-time basis. This role is ideal for a highly motivated sales professional who thrives on outbound business development, enjoys building relationships with decision-makers, and has a proven ability to generate qualified opportunities through cold calling, LinkedIn outreach, and strategic prospecting. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, engaging prospective clients, conducting discovery meetings, and building a strong sales pipeline. You will work closely with the business owner to develop and execute outreach strategies that drive consistent lead generation and business growth. This is a remote role offering flexible working arrangements with the opportunity to grow into a larger position as the business expands. Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Lead Generation
Conduct high-volume outbound cold calls to generate qualified sales opportunities.
Develop and execute multi-channel prospecting campaigns targeting new business opportunities.
Identify and research potential clients across various industries, including education providers, registered training organisations (RTOs), education consultants, small businesses, and non-profit organisations.
Build a consistent pipeline of qualified prospects through proactive outreach.
Generate new business opportunities through strategic networking and relationship building.
LinkedIn Prospecting & Social Selling
Execute LinkedIn outreach campaigns to engage business owners and key decision-makers.
Utilise LinkedIn to identify prospects, initiate conversations, and nurture relationships.
Manage ongoing LinkedIn engagement activities to support lead generation objectives.
Leverage LinkedIn Sales Navigator (preferred) for advanced prospect research and targeting.
Client Engagement
Schedule qualified appointments and meetings for prospective clients.
Conduct professional discovery calls and Zoom meetings with prospects based on the business owner's calendar.
Understand client requirements and identify potential solutions that align with their business needs.
Build trust and establish long-term relationships with prospective clients.
Sales Pipeline Management
Maintain accurate CRM records for all prospect interactions and sales activities.
Track outreach performance, appointment conversion rates, and pipeline progress.
Ensure all prospect information is kept current and organised.
Provide regular activity reports and sales updates.
Market Research
Research target industries and identify new market opportunities.
Monitor industry trends and competitor activities.
Develop target account lists based on ideal customer profiles.
Identify decision-makers and key stakeholders within target organisations.
Collaboration & Strategy
Work closely with leadership to develop outbound sales strategies.
Contribute ideas to improve prospecting effectiveness and conversion rates.
Participate in sales planning sessions and pipeline reviews.
Continuously refine outreach messaging and engagement strategies.

Must Have Skills
Minimum 5 years of experience in Business Development, B2B Sales, Account Management, or a similar client-facing role.
Demonstrated success in outbound cold calling and lead generation.
Proven experience managing LinkedIn outreach campaigns.
Experience booking qualified appointments with business owners and senior decision-makers.
Strong prospect research and qualification skills.
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
High level of confidence presenting solutions during client conversations and Zoom meetings.
Strong objection-handling and negotiation abilities.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Highly organised with exceptional time management skills.
Self-motivated, proactive, and target-driven.
